HTPL has completed 14 years of Terminal Operations of ICD (DRYPORT), Birgunj successfully. Without an active participation of all stake holder, i.e. Customs, Importers, Freight forwarder and their agents, Banks, transporters, and all outsourced service providers, etc, this would not have been possible. We have handled 919 Rakes (Goods Trains) in FY 2074-75, out of which 472 rakes were comprised of containerized traffic. HTPL handled 41661 TEUs Import and 1620 TEUs Export containers, total 43281 TEUs, which is 26% more than previous year. Besides, in Bulk and Break bulk segment we handled 1,117,500 MT as well.
I feel great pleasure to show my humble gratitude to the Indian Railways and its PSE, CONCOR for providing top priority to Nepal traffic. I once again congratulating all the concerned agencies for their active role in operation and management of Dryport, Birgunj, and anticipate their valuable suggestions in making this place more vibrant and efficient.
